VideoSlots Limited granted full five-year Swedish operating license
In Sweden and online casino operator, VideoSlots Limited, has announced that it has been awarded a full five-year operating license by the Scandinavian nation’s Spelinspektionen regulator following the successful conclusion of an appeal.
The Maltese firm used an official Tuesday press release published by European Gaming Media and Events to detail that the award comes after it had appealed a December of 2018 regulatory decision in the Administrative Court of Linkoping that had given it only a two-year license owing to earlier concerns over its operations in the United Kingdom.
Major mover:
VideoSlots explained that it is moreover licensed by authorities in the United Kingdom, Malta, Italy, Spain and Denmark and will now be able to offer its iGaming services to players in Sweden until the end of 2023.
Business ‘boost’:
Alexander Stevendahl, Chief Executive Officer for VideoSlots, used the press release to proclaim that the award of a full five-year Swedish operating license will enable his firm to ‘further boost’ its presence across Europe by giving it the ability to ‘continue to offer its portfolio of regulated offerings to players’ in Scandinavia’s largest and most populous nation.

Player safety across all our markets is always our priority and this news is very welcome due to the growth we are seeing in the Swedish market.”
Parallel position:
The announcement from the company comes after fellow online casino operator LeoVegas AB had its initial two-year Swedish license extended by a further three years in October following a favorable ruling in an analogous legal appeal.
