PokerStars to celebrate 15th anniversary of Sunday Million March 21
The year 2021 marks the 15th anniversary of the Sunday Million at PokerStars. It seems crazy to think that the guaranteed weekend event has been around for so many years. Because the anniversary is a big one, the online poker room plans to celebrate.
The event will take place on March 21 at 5 pm GMT (12 pm EST). It will offer up a huge, guaranteed prize pool of $12.5 million. The top two finishers will take home at least $1 million.
Earn a Seat
The buy-in to the online poker event usually is around $109. However, this time around, PokerStars has increased the buy-in to $215. If that seems a bit steep, there are ways you can earn a seat at the site. Satellites and feeder tournaments are the easiest and cheapest way to compete.
Qualifiers are already in the lobby and have a buy-in of $2.20 for direct options. Move up to the Mega Satellites and you can pay $5.50 to $55 to compete. Each of these levels will offer a certain number of seats to the event.
Feeder tournaments have direct buy-ins starting at $1.10, which is affordable for everyone. Easily take a look at these schedules and figure out which option works best for you.
Spin & Go Action
The Spin & Gos’ at PokerStars are popular among players and also a way to earn a seat to the anniversary Sunday Million. A special edition of the Spin & Go has been added for this event with $4 and $22 buy-ins. Win a ticket directly from competing in this tournament option.
The $4 Spin & Go is offering up entries, plus satellite tickets and of course cash. There are two satellite tickets on offer and one shot at an entry ticket. With the $22 option, there is a chance to win a direct ticket and one satellite entry.
Another option to earn a ticket is the Ticket Machine. From now through March 21, players can take part in a giveaway where $500,000 in satellite tickets are on offer. Opt-in at the site and you can earn up to five tickets into a drawing. Start today to try and earn a ticket by visiting the PokerStars lobby.
The anniversary Sunday Million satellite action starts just a few days after the Turbo Series finished up at PokerStars. The online poker room offered up 134 tournament events with more than $25 million in prize money up for grabs. The series was a success as players from all over the world took part in the various events.
